Hangul and Type: How Good Typography Improves the Way a City Looks
Han-geul is the native alphabet of the Korean language. Of course, it looks like pictures to me, as I cannot distinguish any sort of linguistic patterns in a script I know nothing about.
With that said, it is a very beautiful set typographically, and Seoul owes much of it’s beauty to the elegance of Hangul.
After serving as a judge in Samsung’s WOW Traveler MENA competition, I packed a small bag, a camera, my phone, and then boarded a plane to Seoul, the capital of South Korea and the HQ of Samsung. Here are the posts on the trip:
