Andy Warhol Eating a Hamburger

I have been obsessed with Andy Warhol for the past ten years.

My love for Warhol does not stem from his gorgeous art. It stems from his gorgeous brain.

Andy Warhol on Meaning and Life: “I’m afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meaning.”

The scene is part of a film done by Jorgen Leth called 66 Scenes From America.

The meaning/life quip: to each their own. Life has no meaning but I prescribe meaning to it, if you know what I mean :D Let’s see: is he afraid? Is the life his or someone/something else? Is his life art, his art his “life?” Is he afraid that if he or one looks too close at his/it, it/he becomes meaningless? (Z, stop this madness already.) Probably just using “afraid” as an unfortunate given. His statement is meaningless in a meaningful fashion :D I take it as a quip about itself. Though if something truly becomes meaningless, that’s meaningful in and of itself. Anyway. And btw, count yourself lucky that Rula didn’t keenly eye you during a long car ride through the desert when you were a little baby and say “Roba has now become meaningless, clutter, so out the window it goes to fend for itself.” Ouch :D

There is a thin line between creativity and stupidity.
