Songs of Time: سكرت بواب فتنة مالهاش لزوم
They say that artistic expression and real creativity are directly proportional to the challenges that a society faces. A society that is sinking in comfort zones is less likely to step out to create, grow, and advance. And not just artistically.
Disruption is scary. It can change everything we know and love.
Disruption is necessary. It opens our eyes, helps us realize, helps us advance.
Here’s a very disruptive video for you. While I do not like the lyrics at all (I think they are doing exactly what they’re warning against, judging people, increasing “fitna”), I am impressed by the artistic value.
As a reply to their message: Dear AudioTunnels, stupidity, I believe, is not tied to background. It’s tied to stupidity.
Here’s to more disruption.

Dear Ruba,
though we do not know you personally, and even though you didn’t like the lyrics for a reason that is strongly against our intentions, but anyways we would like to thank you for your opinion, the lyrics are the truth, no one said the truth should be sugar coated.
we wish you the best,
AudioTunnels.

I have to tell you that the production of this video is fantastic. I understand your intentions, but I don’t think they came out clearly.
It could possibly be very offensive to many people. I have heard both Jordanians from Palestinian backgrounds and Jordanians from Jordanian backgrounds say derogatory, meaningless, and quite insulting things about the other. So, it would have probably been a better idea if the song was addressed to both parties.
It doesn’t matter though. Like I said, disruption is good. It is good to offend a few people every now and then. Next time, I hope you offend the other side :)

I respect others’ opinions but this video is just a very BAD IDEA. When I heard this song first time this morning I though I may have misunderstood the message or that this song is just not for my liking. But glad to know I am not alone. For some reason I felt it is offensive or to be less critical it is not going to serve its purpose. But I really do hope I am wrong.

Well, Music does not have to be politically correct. It illustrates a point, and the point isn’t far off.

I also felt the same as Jaraad said when I first heard it! And I’m Jordanian from a Palestinian origin. I’m only talking about the lyrics here, not good in my opinion, no need for comparison and talking about the other.
More focus that we are all coming from the same origin, we are actually the same ethnic group, have been mixed since and till ever, more about history, the west and east side have belonged to the Hashemites, we’ve all lost a part from us.

salaam,
Dear Palestinian Jordanians, wallahi we don’t hate you …. it is only the narrow minded and the uneducated amongst us ….who fell for the fitna of the mukhabarat for the past decades….. we know we are one, Arabs,…. I apologise and feel sorry for your anger ….. May Allah have mercy on us all.
