10 Places to Avoid in Amman This Summer

1. It really, really pains my heart to say this, but the number one spot to avoid is Rainbow Street.

2. Sweifieh (Duh. Now, always, forever).

3. Dawaweer Street (Otherwise known as Zahran Street, but boo at that. It’s Share3 Eldawaweer. Ask anyone).

4. Jordan University Street (thank you transportation people, we love you for thinking so far ahead, but you are making our life harder at the current moment).

5. Certain parts of Rabyeh, like the Days Inn traffic light.

6. Gardens Street after 9:00 AM.

7. The entirety of Mecca Mall.

8. Souq JARA.

9. Power Hut Gym (those damn renovations are taking too long).

    About #4. Isn’t it just the perfect timing. Since it’s summer and we have all those “tourists” in Amman + University summer semester + the already unfinished constructions near by

    Did you just leave out Dowwar el Dakhleyyeh? But then again that’s a place you should avoid all seasons and at every time of the day.

    Yikes. Happy to stay behind bars (as one friend put it) and blog all day in summer, except I am in the US enjoying no traffic or tourists. Lovely. BUT…no falafel or shawarmeh either. Can’t have your hummous and eat it too, I guess.

    I would like to add the small street next to 7/11 in Shmasani that takes you to the Days in traffic light!

    Side note: Power hut gym stinks! The most overrated gym in Jordan!

    I would say University Street for sure, with the construction of “elbas el saree3″ which leaves no space for cars!

    Abdali detour (duwar il rabe3 to duwar aldakhilyeh) 4:00 – 7:00 pm

    7ada2eq il 7ussain 7:00 pm – 12:00 am

    3abdoon 9:00 pm

    Madeeneh Munawara street – all day long!

    University of Jordan area: including da7yet il rasheed, share3 il madeeneh almunawwarah, Queen .

    that traffic light of share3 makeh and da7yet il 7ussain.

    I think I’ll stay home and let tourists enjoy the streets of Amman.

    well, i’m not a big fan of Mecca Mall, but i have to go because my gym is located there….

    #10 Abdoun Circle , Would Be On Of The Most-Screwed Places During Summer, Everyone is there, especially Iraqi’s, Gulf People, Saudi’s

    وتحويلة بين الدوار الرابع ودوار الداخلية الساعة 5-6مساء
