After the first #AmmanTT
It was packed by 6:45, and I was very lucky to have found a spot to sit, as Princess Sumaya University “falamu” the organizers of AmmanTT and pushed them down to a small 150 pax auditorium which did not even fit half the attendees.
(Very bad publicity for the university, honestly, I’d take better care of such things if I were them)
The first AmmanTT was definitely a big success, and I have to laud the organizers for a rather high bar that they set themselves with the starting event. It was well organized, the speakers were interesting and diverse, and the audience was kick-ass. The level of conversation was better than I thought it would be, although some parts of it were too promotional, and others were too “Dude, I can read that on Google”. You can get a more detailed view of my feedback by scamming through the live-stream here.
I was very happy to see several people I haven’t seen in years, like Marwen and Nader. I was also very happy to see people I saw last at ArabNet (lol, Khaled Jabasini, the Jordanian stripper), as well as Twitter friends I’ve never met before.
My favorite perk though was getting a mug courtesy of Basem Aggad’s The Kitchenette, as it stayed in my bag till this morning and now I officially have a MUG AT THE OFFICE. YAY.
I’ve been forgetting to get a mug for the past month, and I’m quite tired of paper cups :)
Guys, did I mention that I’ve been working at Bayt.com for an entire month now? So far, I’m loving it. You have to see the really cool thing that I’m working on, but I’ll tell you more about that later ;)
Did you enjoy this? Be awesome and share:
