I missed this, because I was doing one of my new fav 50 in Jordan:

A half hour outside the city you can dig down half a meter and hold a pottery shard from the Middle Bronze Age.

For Americans who consider a 150 year old First Nations arrowhead a priceless treasure, it is an AWESOME experience!

I’m actually quite impressed! With the effort doing all those… since no one I know personally does that.

  • Chris

Those are quite funny Omar, but I’ll give you a little heads-up here, just because your Roba’s brother. I work for Xbox’s piracy division, so I’m personally heading up this investigation. I’m landing in Amman right now, so if you don’t want to be in handcuffs tonight, you’d better skedaddle now. But I’ll be back… sometime. :D As for the cover, haven’t the slightest idea. But it looks like the game Omar would have to play to get to his personally named Al-Quds mosque.

  • Chris

Ooops! I think I rambled on the wrong post. Or something? Anyway, it’s pretty obvious which one it was meant for. :|

  • http://andfaraway.net Roba

Yeee glad you guys like this post! Really, it’s just your ideas :)

Bardees, wallah no one deserves a spot on this blog more than you do! :) You’ve been reading this space for years.

Chris, no, no, it’s not you, I’m the airhead :) I accidentally updated this post with the XBox post until Bardees sent me a message letting me know that I did that. Now it’s fixed… and the XBox post has its own post. Software should be free! :) The game is Assassin’s Creed by the way, in case you’re curious :P

  • Chris

Thanks for the clarification!!! My boss took the painters out for drinks after work today, so when I got home, figured I’d entertain myself with a quick “wake-me-up” post. Didn’t work, passed out. :D But anyway, I thought something was amiss, but wasn’t quite sure, you know, with the booze and all. And yes, uh, Bardees does indeed sound like a worthy ally.

That’s so sweet of you Roba thank you :D I’ve been coming back here only because your posts are brilliant! keep them coming :)

I’m afraid you got me wrong Roba , you are free to pick anything you like , I’m not complaning about your choices all I wanted to say that there’s nothing special about the top 50 things everyone has mentioned in twitter , I mean there’s no deep things were mentioned all of them were abit childish

  • http://andfaraway.net Roba

Really? I didn’t think they were childish. I thought they were genuine. I’d be interested to hear your top 10 just to get to know what you mean better :)

  • Me

This needs alot of work I believe , but if I were to make one , I think the jordanian blogsphere will make it ;)

  • http://bagoftreats.blogspot.com Amina

Allow me to say that as a non-Jordanian, my favourite thing about Jordan are it’s people. Some of the sweetest and most genuine people i’ve known in my life are Jordanian. The woman i grew up calling my second mom was Jordanian (Allah yir7amha).
