A Chart-Starter

I love, love, love infographs, so when I came across this very useful infographic, I had to share, for anyone who would ever be possibly interested in graph making :)

if u post a new post do u still read the post before ? or did i comment too late?

  • zeid (ou za3tar)

what if u have 8 differnet variables that are all interconnected and u want to study their effect on one dependent variable …. what would u use ?

    I suggest MRC (multiregression/correlation)

MRC is a highly general and therefore very flexible data analytic system. Basic MRC may be used whenever a quantitative variable, the dependent variable (Y), is to be studied as a function of, or in relationship to, any factors of interest, the independent variables (IV).

The greatest virtue of the MRC system is its capacity to represent, with high fidelity, the types and the complexity of relationships that characterize the behavioral sciences.

U see what i have to deal with !!!!!
    cheers

Za3Za3 is back …. it is the time i wanna use ur webpage to intertain myself !!
i am waiting for the guys so that we can go out and have lunch… they are already late !!! and after that we wanna go to Costa … there will be fireworks at night and i dont see the point of fireworks at all … they are extremly nice but they are too loud i hate that … and its money literally being burned in the air !!! cant they use the money for something better than this …

  • zeid ou za3za3

and that damn final report … doesnt want to finish … i feel like attaching it to one of the fireworks and see it burn in the air …. maybe i would enjoy the show then !!!

Zeid, I’m afraid I’m more enticed by the visual aspect of graphs and charts than by the functional one :) One of my favorite sites is this one:
    http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/

    It’s cool, right?

And fireworks do suck, you have to see the obsession with fireworks in this city. It’s insanely absurd.

people in gazza are suffering and money is being burned out in the air !!!

maybe one can use ur chart up there and find a relationship between fireworks and lack of food and medicine in gaza …. i think a scatter plot for 2 variables would be useful

i am still bored ….. and i just want to play super mario that u once posted …. later …. btw i seriously couldn’t get through the first stage last time i played it (after u posted it) !!!!! i was so good at it when i was a kid … dont know what happened !!

btw can’t u put a perminant link for mario article on th right margin ? do i have to search for it every time i wanna play it?

  • zeid ou za3za3

    i like that site especially
    http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/timelines/
it would ve been even nicer if he adds some glow to the lines

  • ExpatInSaudi

    very very interesting indeed.
I normally go for a line and column chart for target assigned VS achieved comparison.

The visualizations on the website are beyond spectacular.

Did they get the idea for “Interesting, Easy, Beautiful, True?” illustration from your “25 years of Facebook Friends” ? Check the posted dates :)

    I know no-one cares but…
I hate charts and everything about them. I’m not sure if it has anything to do with being an accountant (all accountants are dull and boring).

  • http://andfaraway.net Roba

Zeid, glow are a little gimmicky, no?

ExpatInSaudi, haha, I didn’t notice that :) It’s so much fun making infographics!

AG, hehe, I don’t know any accountants, and I would probably die if I had to work with something like that. Check out the link I posted to Zeid (informationisbeautiful.com), you might change your mind about inforgraphs being boring :)
