Twitter + TV: A funny FOX experiment

Yes, it was a complete disastor, but I can’t help but feel a little impressed that Fox from all channels chose to brave the waters of hard-to-please consumers.

Basically, Fox broadcasted reruns of a show with a live Twitter feed overlay, similiar to the SMS strips that have become a sales model for 99% of television channels in our part of the world. Except it’s Twitter.

The result was a FAIL. Of course. Although the idea at its core is in my opinion, rather fantastic, it really doesn’t take a designer to tell you that the way the tweets were displayed is unbelievably obtrusive and bulky.

LOL, for sure it gonna fail. It’s ok when you’re watching & listening video songs, not a movie or any other TV serial, lol, what will we do? watch TV or read tweets? funny.

I know, it is very funny :) I think it might have been interesting if it was done in a differrent way… Maybe with a more modern, more geeky show?
