tc

I cannot possibly tell you how much I hate the expression “tc”.

You mean to say “Take care”, which is the most cliche phrase in its own right, but you’re really too lazy to actually exercise your fingers and type six more beautiful letters. “tc” is never even capitalized.

It is the epitome, the perfect embodiment, and the very definition of not even slightly feeling anything towards the person the “tc” is addressed to.

A list of other empty phrases that still fare much better than “tc” that you can definitely sign off emails, cards, and messages with:

1. Have fun.
2. Good luck.
3. See you.
4. Enjoy.
5. xx
6. Good day.

And so on.

Damn. It’s one AM already, and I still have to read a little. I am in the most unsleepy mood ever these days. I’m not even sleepy in the morning, or at 4:00 (the time I am usually most sleepy), and most definitely not at night.

Off to reading The Lord of the Rings, again, and again, and again.

If you ever get tired of reading Lord of the Rings, you might want to try The Silmarillion… I think it is a great book… requires a bit of an attention span though.

    tc

    Sorry could not resist ;)

    but seriously Enjoy… xx

    Do you use lmao?

  • Gary

My guess is lmao is religiously unacceptable here, too! I should stop using it, along with a few other choice phrases!

  • Naji

    and the hahaha thing!

  • Eman

i like “xx” ya roba! it doesnt mean u dont care!

  • Bardees

I hate tc too,I understand as in the person who typed it is in a very mad mood or msh 6ay2ni lol

Boy, I did read The Silmarillion, and you’re right, with my attention span, I ditched it and read the book on Wikipedia instead. The Children of Hurin was easier on the reading :) And had a lot of delicious LOTR history. Yum.

Zeid, hehe, that’s really funny. I can never decide whether I love or hate Seinfeld. I guess it stands on that line where it’s so not funny that it’s just fricking hilarious. But I guess Family Guy does a better job at that.

Ra2fat, lol is actually just as cold as “tc” but really not as bad, cause “laugh out loud” takes considerably longer typing time than “take care”. Plus, it was created for that purpose, the entire expression, fa i’s different :)

    Hamza, so do I actually.It’s so… meaningless.

Gary, lmao is not that bad :) I don’t use it, but it doesn’t bother me…. Read More

Eiman, yeah, it depends on how you use it I guess! :) And who it comes from… xx ;)

Naji, “haha” isn’t that bad! I usually use “hehe”.

Bardees, sa7? It’s like dude, if you really don’t feel like talking to me, please just don’t! And I guess you remember the “am” post :) I think you’re the only commentator here who has been reading my blog for a while to know!

Yasmeen, am so horrified that u r talking like lina now.

Well I use “Enjoy” when I send emails to my coworkers, when they ask me for the most annoying information, and yes pwn sarcasm intended when I say it, gives them something to chuckle about. as for goodbyes on chat, I prefer using later, 5alas ya 3ami, bala bye see you take care giird later

Another thing I hate the most is tyt, take your time? really thanks, by the time i type brb, I am off to answer the door, check the food, do something that needs me to say brb, and when you hear “podum” (the sound of new msg received) ruins the whole “my-thing-is-more-important-than-a-stupid-conversation-about-what-we-have-done-though-we-saw-each-other-today!”

    I’m hungry.
