The War of Megapixels

I never use my phone’s camera. I always make a point to carry my heavy and rather big camera with me wherever I go.

Why?

Here’s a fantastic article on Gizmodo on how pixels aren’t everything.

    So u r a gizmodo fan?
    sweet!

The problem with people is that they only believe numbers, dont care for the details.
How would u convince sm1 that a 3.0GHz processor might actually be SLOWER than a 1.6GHz one? Nope. They will always go for the higher number.

I guess you don’t respond to comments anymore, but what camera do you have?

Hey Muhammad, I’m sorry I don’t respond to comments, but I’ve been so busy! I use a Canon G8. It’s a good camera, but it got ruined so quickly!

As for your Mounting table images question, I was going to post pictures, but got swamped this week. Maybe next week :)

i hate cellphone cameras…it’s already annoying how manufcturers try to sell point and shoot cams based on added megapixels….but buying a cellphone camera with extra megapixels instead of a point and shoot cam? I cant believe ppl fall for these things

although i am not an expert in camera’s , but for sure, a bigger thicker wider lens , with more mechanics involving the auto focus and zoom, the picture will me more pro.., not mentioning more sensitive photo-electronics.

even your camera were 8 mega pixel.. will you benifit from it ? ( unless you print Big Advertising plates) ??

    NO , why ?

for example, my High resolution 17″ Laptop screen is 1920 x 1200 , which actually equals in terms of mega pixels 2.3 so each pixel in the camera will fit in a pixel on my screen ..

for sure a higher resolution picture will might look more clear on the screen , but to benifit from it you’ll have to zoom lol

my mobile camera -nokia E90- is 3.2 Mega pixels, but @ night for sure i’ll get grainy pictures .. but as i am not a photographer , carrying an all in one device is the solution .

subzero is true, for example, a shocking one :

if you bring two processors , one is Pentium 3 and one is Pentium 4 , both same Clock speed, same cache, same FSB speed, Pentium III will knock P4 out..

it was the dark ages of intel..

but nano technologies carries us an unknown future, who knows, maybe a mobile camera would be better than a pro one at one day, or u might see LCD are attached to the Digital Camera, some has WIFI, they lack browser only ..
