Attention span: two seconds.

This amazing video is of a 9-month-old baby at play.

It’s really quite fascinating, especially when looking at it while keeping in mind how an adult spends his “playtime.”

If I were to illustrate me surfing the web, for example, in the same sort of style, it would probably look similar. Gmail. Toss away. New tab, digg. Play for a bit. Get bored. Boing Boing. Scroll down. Nothing interesting anymore. Facebook. A little longer. toot. Other websites that it leads to. Gmail again. Toss away. Look up from my screen and look out the window. Resume.

I work the same way, juggling between windows, activities, tools, softwares. I juggle between books, chapters, paragraphs. I guess that just confirms my brother Omar’s theory that I am just a baby locked up in an adult’s body.

There’s something so solid about lack of concentration. While my mind jumps to and from unrelated elements, I discover so many inspirations that I otherwise wouldn’t have discovered. I can also sit for longer hours, because with doing so many things at once, it’s really hard to get bored.

Same here, I’m a compulsive CTRL T’er; my computer hates me. I even have to keep written lists, lest I forget the next thing and it irks for the whole day.

Pop some Aderol (or Ritalin if you’re really a baby trapped in something else lol).

This stuff WILL make you not only focus on ONE thing at a time, but also make sure it is PERFECT before you move on to ANYTHING else!

Example: washing your dishes and arranging them from biggest to smallest order before you move on to cups. It’s FOCUS IN A BOTTLE.

Available at your friendly neighborhood Walgreens or CVS.

*Consuming with alcohol may permanently damage your liver.
**Consuming more than 2 capsules may cause over-attentiveness and sleeplessness.
