iPhone people are loved by Starbucks

The Starbucks and Apple collaboration has taken a step forward with the launch of a queue-jumping application called QuickOrder, where customers can place an order at a nearby Starbucks via their iPhone, when the drink is ready, they get an alert to tell them the drink is available on the counter. It includes QuickPay, a swipe transaction system using semacode technology.

Does any one provider exclusivley run iPhones in Jordan?

In the U.S. it is exclusively encrypted for AT&T, and unlocking it causes some damage and loss to several features. The deal is 2 years long and until then, many perks like this one won’t available to everyone running on other networks (which total more than 45 networks in the U.S.)

    What a shame :-(

    this is absurdly cool.

two problems though, i havent got one of these sweet iphones yet, because first like pointed above i am afraid of such problems, and second i sort of found it silly to pay 800JDs when i had to pay 550 to get the Nioka N95, which has features iphone cant even begin to dream of. [ok i dd drop it in a swimming pool and kill it but thats beside the point:p]

second problem, people keep telling me that starbucks supports israel and donates bla bla bla to isra2eel and that the owner is a zionest and all these stories, while other people tell me its not true, can you help us, poor readers, in this field please?:)

Rumor has it that Nokia is soon to release an N98 which, like the iphone, is touch screen. Its supposed to be way better and have many less problems and glitches than the iphone. Not to mention the elegance and quality of a NOKIA…and many many more features. So if your planning to invest the huge amount of money for a cell phone, wait a few months and maybe youll get the better phone. BTW, nokia all over the world comes unlocked which means you can use it on any network…even in the US except for Verizon and Sprint…these two are old companies which do not support the SIM card.

It never took me more than 60 seconds to get my order at starbucks, and it’s a chance to talk to someone next to me or stare at gorgeous Kristina while she’s making coffee.
Stop abusing technology for God’s sake. What’s next? Caffeine suppositories to save us the time needed in drinking coffee?

I disapprove of this, it seems that our journey into a robotic, lifeless, and odorless life filled with automation and devoid of social interaction is much closer than we might think. What’s wrong with talking to a human being?

Then again, Starbucks workers are particularly unresponsive.

    Roba,

I featured one of your blog entries on a post at Iraqi Bloggers Central tonight:

    Self-Criticism or Self-Hatred?

I also enjoyed the discussion on the comments page for that entry.
