Cherry Blossom

Ok, I admit it, and rather proudly, I am exactly the type of person who judges a book by its cover. I mean, if the author isn’t smart enough to hire an interesting designer, I’m probably not very interested in the content. And this consciously made decision doesn’t just hold true to books, but to all other sorts of packaged goods as well, including foods, humans, and storefronts. I really like people that try to go a step beyond their main product (personality, juice, shoes, or otherwise), making it a point to have their customers enjoy every single step in the consumption process, and not just the final product.

That’s precisely why I picked AriZona’s green tea from the isle at Cosmo a few months ago. I wasn’t thirsty at that time, and I do not like green tea much. Yet, I couldn’t resist its gorgeously designed package, (regardless of the fugliness of the logo ya Omar :) )sort of retro, vintage and Asian yet very funky. When I went home though, I didn’t find the idea of drinking packaged and processed green tea very appealing, so I just put it over my dresser and left it there to stare at for several months.

Being a technical person. I find beauty lying in a nicely functional piece of technology. Software that is written elegantly like poetry or products that do their job better than I expect.
A nice finish is always great, a UI that is representative and appealing adds a major boost to any product

The first can and the. The first line, first from the right. The second line middle and first to the right are beautiful cans

The logo IS ugly, will always be ugly. Anyway, they didn’t research much to drive their inspiration – I mean your post’s title is more inspiring than all this visual work they did. Their designs seem all over the place, it really needs someone who would look a bit for the background of it.

Cherry blossoms, Geishas, and all that are JAPANESE, yet Green Tea is originally CHINESE. This sort of messing up frustrates me! lol

Oh, and don’t you think having African patterns/design for BLACK tea is just wrong?

And the Lemonade looks like a dish washing detergent! A cheap one!

My roommates in college used to save these bottles and use them as vases around the house. Me, I was indifferent.
