Winter

Our fifth winter here and I’m still trying to figure out when it gets cold. I mean, it’s mid October and we’re still having 30 degree weather! I’m not complaining though, I’m just trying to figure out if I’m dreading (cold hands, rainy afternoons, dark days, and the flu) or looking forward (hot chocolate, rainy afternoons, new red wool skirt, and the cosiness) to winter.

So, when does it usually start?

    haha i just heard thunder as i was beginning to write i don’t think real winter starts in november. divine intervention? nah just in-your-face irony. i personally look forward to winter. the hot 3adas soup, coats so big you can hide in and the scarves. i have a scarf for every day of the week.

    i consider a thundery night like tonight is an official declaration thats winter has arrived, so any hot days after today is just a slip or a mistake…

    In Arizona winter is the period between 3-6 AM in January, the rest of the year is either a hot summer or a very hot summer

    This is the time of the year when everybody start talking about when’s winter gonna come?!?! yalla it’s mid-October already where’s the snow? and it goes the other way round, in mid-May, yalla we want to go to the pool!!

    It seems that every year these question will be asked over and over again, and no one have noticed that the saesons have made a shift in timing, so it’s not actually winter untill november, and it’s not real summer untill june. :)
