I found this disgusting video that alleges to be Hamas fighters desecrating the body of a slain Fatah member:

    http://www.nrg.co.il/online/1/ART1/595/695.html

I wonder where things might go from here politically. Will there be essentially two Palestinian entities from here on out or will they find a way to reconcile in the not-too-distant future?

headline on CNN/Fox/NBC 2 days ago:

Paris Hilton back to jail (for 22 days)
seriously, that was the ONLY story, I had to log on to Al-Rai’s website to get news
(still found Pari’s story there, but wasn’t the main one thank God)

tommy…. most Palestenians are so much against what’s happening there, the last thin most (if not all) want is 2 separate states, but it’s up to those corrupt bastards in Fateh and Hamas to stop fighting.

sa7? And we thought things couldn’t get worse during the intifada.

I like how you worded your post. It seems like a poem about the times we live in.

    Another insane postmortem lynching:

    Evil.

I know they hate Fatah, and the feeling is probably mutual, but can’t they at least think of these guys’ wives and children before publicly desecrating their bodies?

Hareega:”most Palestenians are so much against what’s happening there, the last thin most (if not all) want is 2 separate states, but it’s up to those corrupt bastards in Fateh and Hamas to stop fighting.”

Those “corrupt bastards” *are* Palestinian last time I checked. They are the corrupt Palestinian bastards that the Palestinian population has supported so strongly and for so long. Why do you think these are the two main political parties – the Jews made the Palestinians vote for them?

Just for once I’d like to see a Palestinian, or even an Arab, say “this is our fault, we screwed up”. Perhaps that’s racist and I’ll get banned, but someone is to blame for this and I don’t think it is anyone outside the Occupied Territories has any real blame at all. They dug their own grave.

I can’t believe I am saying this but time to get back to Paris Hilton.

    Hei Gou,

Of course it is the Palestinians’ fault – they accept that, and they also accept the futility of the fighting.

But to say that no-one else shares any blame is downright silly. Maybe you’ve never lived under occupation, where a foreign military rules every element of your life, where you don’t have a state, nor a government, when you can’t complain to anyone when there’s no water, or food, or when you aren’t allowed to leave your house for weeks on end.

The Palestinians have had 60 years of this – I’m surprised they didn’t turn on each other a long long time ago.

    Sasa.

Sasa:”Of course it is the Palestinians’ fault – they accept that, and they also accept the futility of the fighting.”

May I please ask where there is any evidence that any of them accept it is their blame or that the fighting is futile? Indeed it looks to me as if most of them just see this as a great chance to loot whatever the EU has built for them lately.

Sasa:”But to say that no-one else shares any blame is downright silly. Yet again we see the “blame everyone but us” culture. I have never lived under occupation except in so far as we all live under governments that we do not run and are not particularly responsive to what we want. The Israeli military controls very little of Palestinian lives and virtually nothing of Gaza. They have a government of sorts but it is hardly a crime calling out to Heaven to lack a government. They complain all the time and the BBC is there to listen to every word. When was the last time any of them were not allowed to leave their homes for weeks on end? The PA had complete control of Gaza and Area A – all the main cities in the West Bank. The vast majority of Palestinians in the OTs live under a Palestinian government. The fighting has broken out in the Judenrein Gaza Strip. Not a Jew to be seen much less an Israeli. How is it anyone else’s fault?

The Tibetans live under occupation. I don’t see any mass psychosis. The East Timorese did. I have not heard of any cafes being blown up. In neither case has there been any suicide bombings. Occupation is not the explanation.

Sasa:”The Palestinians have had 60 years of this – I’m surprised they didn’t turn on each other a long long time ago.”

They have had as long as the Tibetans have. When are the Tibetans going to start blowing up airplanes?
