Unseasonably hot
AMMAN (JT) — The country will continue to be affected by a hot and dry air mass originating from the Arabian Peninsula for the rest of this week, with temperatures 11ºC above the annual average, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department. Maximum temperatures of 38ºC are forecast for the capital, weather forecaster Alaa Salameh told The Jordan Times on Sunday. The air mass will start to change track on Friday, passing over the Mediterranean Sea and bringing humidity and a drop in temperatures. According to Salameh, during the weekend temperatures will be around average for this time of year with highs of 28ºC to 29ºC.
