We feel fine
We Feel Fine is an exploration of human emotion on a global scale. Every few minutes, the system searches the world’s newly posted blog entries for occurrences of the phrases “I feel” and “I am feeling”. When it finds such a phrase, it records the full sentence, up to the period, and identifies the “feeling” expressed in that sentence (e.g. sad, happy, depressed, etc.) Pretty cool idea, right?
What I really love about this exploration though is the brilliant flash interface, complete with the charming graphics. The colored speckles represent emotions, and I love the way they interact with one another, bouncing off each other in complete harmony. Jonathan Harris is a genius.
Naturally though, trust me to fall in love with anything that involves colors, balls and gravity. Doesn’t this experiment remind you of the Bravia ad?
Check out We Feel Fine here, meanwhile, I’ve personally been feeling absolutely wonderful lately!
