Does your family know you have been to a socialist, leftist bar in Beirut?!

  2. anonymous, can you be more ridiculous?

  3. The lebanese civil war is considered one of the ugliest civil wars in the modern history. Their looks say a lot.

  4. Now there are also bars that are ” socialist, leftist “?

    kidding

Seems like a cool place relating it to the pic:)

  5. Ohoud, actually, it’s not “Now”. It’s quite old.. sort of like an attraction.. a must see.. they have awesome art.

Anonymous, do your parents know that you are an idiot??

  7. You know what just occurred to me?? I’ve never tried Araq. Oh my God. I feel like I shouldn’t be considered Arab. I’m going out tonight.

(BTW, regardless of any connotations, that’s one cool pic.)

  8. “I’ve never tried Araq. Oh my God. I feel like I shouldn’t be considered Arab.”

“Oh my God. I feel like I shouldn’t be considered Arab.”

Why not? Not all Arabs are Muslims or non-drinkers for that matter, and that you already know for sure …
And not all Muslims are practicing or even really Muslims, they are labeled as ones, however, for the rest of their lives …

I’m furious! What was the deleted comment about? :(

  13. Anonymous, call it what you will, censorship, banning, blah blah blah. I don’t care. What I do care is that you do not bash my friends on this space. You can go bash them- just bash them on their own blogs.

  14. uummm….when I said I feel I shouldn’t be considered Arab, it’s because I haven’t yet tried what is known as Arabian alcohol, that’s all. I wasn’t even THINKING of Muslim and drinking and whatever. People need to chill. Oh and Roba, thank you for sending whoever it was over to my blog, where he has proceeded to tell me how annoying I am. :) Lovely! ;)

  15. LOL Hala, sorry babe. I just really don’t think its cool to bash people here.
