There are several areas in Amman that I literally can’t stand, and topping that list are Sweifieh and Gardens, two places that I would rather go around all of Amman in order to avoid.

Today though, I had to go to the infamous “Share3 il Markat” in Swiefieh to get a friend a birthday gift, and to my surprise, I found the street closed off and hundreds of people hoarding around various entertainment attractions from bungee jumping to a live band.

Quite honestly, random crowds aren’t exactly my cup of tea, but I am really pleased by the Amaneh’s attempts to provide free entertainment to citizens and tourists in Jordan. Apparently, the Amaneh will keep restricting this area to be used by pedestrians for the summer months every evening after 6.
